Hiring City Finance Director

The City of Tangent is posting notice of the opportunity to join the City of Tangent as the next Finance Director.

The Finance Director leads the City's Finances to manage accounting, financial reporting, banking, utility billing, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipting, collections, debt service, permit payments, and related financial functions. The position will manage the City's annual budget of approximately $6,000,000 and participate in City Council and Budget meetings.

Compensation & Benefits

·        $57,678 to $71,156 Compensation Range

·        Cost of Living Adjustment is annually based on the Consumer Price Index.

Hiring Process

City staff will evaluate applications and determine which one meets the minimum qualifications to advance to the interview round. Candidates will be notified and invited to interview, potentially for two rounds of interviews. The timetable is December, with interviews potentially during the week of December 2, 2025, or later. The City Council will appoint the selected candidate who has accepted the offer at the following City Council meeting.
