Tangent Harvest Festival Update

The City of Tangent is excited to welcome everyone to the annual Tangent Harvest Festival, organized by Tangent Together. The following information will help ensure everyone coming to Tangent has a safe and fun time.

Driving To Tangent

If you are driving to Tangent, we do have a special route for everyone attending the Tangent Harvest Festival. This route will guide you to the event parking and is marked with orange and black detour signs with arrows.

Directions for traffic coming on Highway 34 (West, North, and East)

Please follow the sign to Tangent Loop. Tangent Loop is approximately four (4) miles long and will have orange detour signs placed throughout the route.

Directions for traffic coming on Highway 99E (South)

At Shedd, you will turn right onto Boston Mill Road and follow the orange detour signs placed on Driver Road, leading to Wirth Road, and then Tangent Loop.

Street Closure For Parade: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM

The following streets will be closed for the parade from approximately 9:00 am to 11:00 am:

·         Birdfoot Drive

·         Blackberry Lane

·         Old Church Road

·         Old Oak Drive

·         Tangent Drive (Between Highway 99E and Blackberry)

If you arrive and the streets are closed for the parade, you will be asked to get on Highway 34 and use Tangent Loop to get to the festival.

Exiting The Harvest Festival

After the combine demolition derby, all traffic will be directed south on Old Oak to Tangent Loop to exit. Local traffic will be allowed to exit north on Old Oak Road.
