⚠ No Water Westside Of Town ⚠ The city of Tangent is aware of a broken water line that services the west side of town. The city does not have a public water utility; instead, everyone is on their own well or shares a well. This is a shared, isolated well situation. There will be no water for the next few hours while crews fix the pipe.

GAPS LRFAC April 7 Meeting & Tangent Elementary

The City of Tangent is aware of a recommendation from the Greater Albany Public Schools (GAPS) Long Range Facility Advisory Committee (LRFAC) to consolidate three schools, including Tangent Elementary School. The recommendations may be forwarded to the GAPS School Board for a final decision to achieve a sustainable school district. Dog On Leash At City Parks Reminder

The City of Tangent is aware of a serious incident in which two dogs attacked a resident walking her two dogs on the sidewalk in front of City Hall. The owner of the two small dogs was also injured, along with a couple of bystanders who interveined to break up the attack. The Linn County Sheriff's Office responded and issued a citation. The City of Tangent has an ordinance requiring all dogs to be on a leash in any city park. This includes Bass Estate Park at City Hall. The C
